When we read or search books at
Google Books then we found that it provides an easy way to search books and magazines that have been scanned by Google but there is a problem with that, the books and magazines can be viewed online but there is no direct way to download the whole book at the same time though it is possible to save the single page that is being displayed to the local computer but that would mean that it is available in html format with an extra folder for additional elements which is not really handy.

That can be very frustrating for user to save page by page foe downloading a whole book but now there is a better alternative for this. There is a software program
Google Books Downloader that can be used to download parts or entire books in pdf format. The process requires some manual work on part of the user. Books and magazines are identified by an unique ID which is displayed in the address bar. That unique ID has to be copied and pasted into the software. Everything else is done automatically by the software. The program will scan all pages of the selected book or magazine and display all pages in its interface.
Each page can be selected for download separately which is useful if only selected parts of the book or magazine should be downloaded. The other option available is to download the full book or magazine right away to the local computer.

Officially Windows 7 will be launched with the next media player version 12.Till then no windows version or update will not contain windows media player version 12.But if you are a windows media player fan then you can download version 12 and run it on Windows Vista only. Its not available as a separate download but it had been extracted from Windows 7 builds and works on Vista. This does not work in XP but you are a geek u can modify it to run on xp.

You can
download from here. Before installing this don't forget to
create a restore point. So that if anything goes wrong
you can access the previous settings like current version of Windows Media Player.
* Backup wmploc.dll from C:\Windows\System32
* Backup Windows Media Player folder from C:\Program Files
* copy wmploc.dll from downloaded files in C:\Windows\System32
* copy Windows Media Player folder from downloaded files to C:\Program Files
This has been taken from the Windows 7 build i.e. Windows Media Player 12.0.7000.7000 original files from Windows 7 Build 7000.

Few days back i got a MP3 ring tone from my friend that was very nice but the problem was that it was not loud enough means that even when my phone volume was set to maximum level, this ring tone was not so loud that i can detect or feel its sound in crowdy place.Because of this some of my incoming calls remain unnoticed. So i think of increasing it loudness, for this i downloaded some tools from Internet like sony soundforge but since i don't know anything about sound editing and tools were highly complicated and having many many options so i failed many times and finally give up.

At that time i changed the ring tone and used a loud ring tone. But what would you do if you have any custom mp3 files or a file which has no replacement ? How would i increase the volume and make the mp3 file sound louder without much knowledge of sound editing?
"Where there is a will there is a way".I found
Vloud which is an online service which does this job for you. All you need is to select how loud you want the final mp3 file you will get. It accepts only MP3 songs and gives you 4 options : light , loud, louder, loudest.
This site claims that it "make any song very, very, very loud.upload an mp3 and get your song.".Well it worked fine for me and i got that beautiful ring tone with much loudness that was sufficient for me.

You might be aware of a tradition where authors used to write books or novels with a nick name to protect their identity, whatever is the reason for this cause. Now a days some of the bloggers also follow this act.But gone are the days, that time it was quite hard to gather some information about your favorite writers. Now If you are a reader of any blog then you might be interested in knowing whether the person who's post and articles you are reading is either man or woman.
For finding gender of your favorite blog writer just log in to
genderanalyzer.com and enter the address of his/her blog. Then it will show you the result.I tried it on mine so here is my result which is damn right.

I also applied it on my friends blog allin123.blogspot.com and result is this.
These result are based on the use of Artificial Intelligence to determine if a homepage is written by a man or woman. Behind the scene, a text classifier hosted over at uClassify.com has been trained on 2000 blogs written by men and women.Though it might not yield best results but these results are right upto an extent.
You can also go for a gender test for a personal computer user by using its browsing history. The tool based on analysis of browsing history of an individual yields nice results.

Google Chrome has came out as a success for Google and it has been termed as fastest growing web browser ever.It is fast, runs script very quickly, consumes very less memory and so many nice things which the blogosphere is talking about Google Chrome.Yes they all are true and i praise Google's effort of developing a web browser like chrome even though they have been supporting Mozilla Firefox for a long time.
Some experts says that this is a common approach for Google.Google emphasize on collecting some kind web browsing related habits and history by its various means like web history and other services. According to Google they save it for 2 years after that it is automatically removed from their system and they don't collect any kind of personal information as claimed by rivals and critics.
If you don't want your history to be saved by Google Chrome then you have to remove this ID added by Google in Chrome.Though it is very hard to remove this but we have better option, Unchrome it.
Unchrome replaces your unique ID with Null values so that your browser cannot be identified any longer. The functionality of Google Chrome is not influenced by this. You only need to apply UnChrome once.
I hope this is a better option as per todays situation but it would be more better if Google gives you a choice if you want to get a ID or not. That would be a faithfull step towards its user.

What happens when we minimize a running application in our computer system, it goes down to the windows taskbar. While some other software are programmed to minimize down directly to the traybar or system tray like
Utorrent client. This helps task bar to remain uncluttered in a situation where lots of applications are running. There are some third party software also that can minimize any desired program to traybar. But if your traybar too is cluttered with these applications and programs, then one possible solution is to close some less required applications, but if you don't want to close any of those running application (its bad !!!!) then then there is a third party freeware miniMIZE of just 349 KB for you.
miniMIZE is a small desktop enhancing application that catches windows that you minimize and puts a thumbnail of the main application window on your desktop so it minimize a running program to desktop as thumbnail.
miniMIZE supports exclusion list to ignore windows and applications that you don’t want to minimize to desktop as thumbnail. It also has hotkeys to cycle thumbnail levels, minimize all windows and show/hide thumbnails. But this won't work on Vista, for windows vista users there is a software Thumbwin which works similar to miniMIZE.
ThumbWin is very much the same as miniMIZE. You can set the software to be excluded from minimizing as thumbnail, supports hotkey, arrangement method and thumbnail size. But one very noticeable feature that only ThumbWin has is the fade-in/out effect. When a running program has been minimized to desktop as thumbnail, moving your mouse over to the thumbnail will make the image fade-in/out.

Its true that most of internet user do not actually know about how to use
I am feeling lucky button of Google present on its homepage.Actually The "I'm Feeling Lucky" button is one of the very few things that stand out on Google's minimalistic homepage. It automatically takes you to the first search result and it's helpful for navigational queries.Though only 1% from Google's searches bypass the search results page and go straight to the top result, Google will keep the strange button on the homepage as it has become a part of its brand. This is some info about I am feeling button of Google. And one more thing
"I'm feeling lucky" button costs Google $110 million per year.
You might think that this information does not state any kind of power of this button that i mentioned in title.Well if you want to feel the power of this magic button, visit
Google, paste below mentioned strings in Google search box and then press I am feeling lucky.
google l33t, elgoog , find chuck norris , google gothic , ewmew fudd , xx-klingon , xx-piglatin , google bsd , google linux , google easteregg , google gizoogle , google bearshare , google microsoft,
google april fool's , google finnish , google black , google christmas.

I usually do not write these kind of post but this image was compelling for me that's why i decided to share this with you.I found this at
William lamson's art project.
For most of us it is not hard to guess the winner of this situation. This simple trick using helium balloon makes the CCTV partially blind, well for making CCTV completely blind i would suggest a dark coloured balloon would be more effective.

What does it take to succeed? A positive attitude? Well, sure, but that’s hardly enough. The Law of Attraction? The Secret? These ideas might act as spurs to action, but without the action itself, they don’t do much.
1. Public SpeakingThe ability to speak clearly, persuasively, and forcefully in front of an audience – whether an audience of 1 or of thousands – is one of the most important skills anyone can develop. People who are effective speakers come across as more comfortable with themselves, more confident, and more attractive to be around.
2. WritingWriting well offers many of the same advantages that speaking well offers: good writers are better at selling products, ideas, and themselves than poor writers. Learning to write well involves not just mastery of grammar but the development of the ability to organize one’s thoughts into a coherent form and target it to an audience in the most effective way possible.
3. Self-ManagementIf success depends of effective action, effective action depends on the ability to focus your attention where it is needed most, when it is needed most.Strong organizational skills, effective productivity habits and a strong sense of discipline are needed to keep yourself on track.
4. NetworkingNetworking is not only for finding jobs or clients. In an economy dominated by ideas and innovation, networking creates the channel through which ideas flow and in which new ideas are created.

I prefer a torrent download when i have to watch any movie.Just
search torrents at one place and then select the desired torrent file from
top torrents and download it after that i download the whole movie using torrent client and that torrent file. This was my way to watch movies but now you can watch the movie from torrent files without actually downloading them.

Since this is a freeware utility so you have to just download the .torrent file of any movie that you are intended to watch and just play it with RARPlayer.

Over the period of time our windows powered computer system start facing increased number of problem more frequently.Up to a limit we try to fix them or some time if they are not that important,we try to ignore them, but if the problem is related to windows system files then we just reinstall a fresh copy of windows because we don't know how to fix them or we just try to avoid a geeky session of experimentation. Fixing or recovering damaged system files in windows is not as hard as it seems.
Actually Windows has built in tool called System File Checker that will reload our systems file. This System File Checker has become a part of windows after the version Windows98.
To fix this problem follow the following steps carefully.
1. Disconnect the internet connection.
2. Turn Off all programs including virus protection and security programs……
3. Insert the Operating System CD.
4. Click START
5. Select the run command

6. In Run command type SFC /Scannow
7. Click OK
8. Then a system file check up will start. This may take up to an hour to be completed.
9. After the completion of scanning, remove the Operating System CD and restart the computer.
10. Then your problem will be fixed.

During my initial days of computing i usually install a fresh copy of
windows each time i got some kind of error like if my
folder options is not working because of any
virus activity,or some kind of
booting problem. But after becoming a Tech blogger and computer engineering student now i emphasize on solving the problem rather than installing a fresh copy of windows.
It has been a long time since i installed a fresh windows.Today i tried to find out the last time of my windows installation. For finding this i goggled my query and i found out a dos command which is very useful for finding system information.
Go to Run-->Cmd and then type systeminfo | find /i “install date” to know the date when your installed Windows on the PC. (see image)

and if you want to find out last time when you booted your windows xp PC then go to cmd and type systeminfo | find /i “
boot time” .This will show the time when you last rebooted the computer.
Alternative, you could start Windows Task Manager (Alt+Ctrl+Del), switch to the Performance tab and you should see a field that says “Up Time” that’s even more convenient but some computers have Task managers disabled.
Extra tip:If you would simply type "systeminfo" without quotes in cmd, then you will lot of information about your system.Filter it your self.

Natural browsing support is a feature of Mozilla Firefox 3.0 which emphasize on reducing the amount of URL we have to remember and the mistakes that we commit while typing URLs in our address bar.Typically for accessing a website we have to enter its address in web browser's address bar like http://www.nytimes.com/ but Mozilla Firefox 3.0 allows users to access website by just mentioning their names like you can access or open http://www.nytimes.com/ by just typing "NY times" in the address bar without quotes.
Similarly you can access http://facebook.com can be accessed by just typing facebook. you can also try orkut, Wall Street Journal, Disney Land, Yahoo Mail, eBay, etc. This thing is called natural browsing support.Actually The URL bar of Firefox is integrated with Google’s Browse By Name search feature that allows us to open a web site by typing its name.Presently this is available for some popular websites but in future we can expect a better natural browsing support.
