1. web browsers: Safari is the default web browser in the Mac OS X but it does not have many plug-ins and add-ons which can make browsing experience on Mac even better. It is definitely faster and its bookmark and RSS manager is probably better than Firefox but many users would probably like to stick to Firefox especially if they are addicted to certain Firefox add-ons.

Mozilla Firefox 2 was nice but it has raised its bar with its latest version 3 which is faster and has better features for security.

Camino has the power of Mozilla and the style of Mac (at least that’s what its home site claims). Camino has many features like tabbed browsing, auto update, spell checking, Feed detection, session saving and annoyance blocking (say pop-ups blocker) which makes it a worthy alternative of Safari.

Opera is a very unique web browser in a way that it has many features which you wont find in any other browser. Many people prefer Opera over Firefox for some of its very useful features which save both time and effort.

Shiira is another web browser made for Mac OS X which is based on Web Kit and written in Cocoa. The guys behind this browser want Shiira to become a serious competitor to Safari. Give it a try for yourself.
