Microsoft's security executive Jeff Jones has disclosed that after the release of Vista this year company has patched 12 bugs out of 27 bugs reported in the first six month of its release means that company has patched fewer than half of the known bugs of Vista.
Jones added "Vista continues to show a trend of fewer total and fewer high-severity vulnerability at the six month mark compared to windows xp".
He was saying this because in the first six months of windows xp release number of bugs reported were 39 but he did not mention that out of 39 Microsoft patched 36.
So contrast is there in the ratio of patched to discovered bugs.Security has been one of the most important selling point of vista so Microsoft has to work hard to maintain the standard in terms of the security.
