Here is the good news for the wikipedia lovers , now wikipedia will be available on CD as well.
As wikipedia is having a very large collection of articles greater than any other online free encyclopedia.
Though the number of articles will be limited in CD version nearly upto 2000 articles of english.So there are chances that this idea is not going to click.
But this is my idea ,users may have different choices as per their use.Some of users might find it intresting to use wikipedia offline.
This Wikipedia ver 0.5 has an initial value of $13.99.The CD idea was the collective efforts of Wikimedia foundation and its french partner in this project Linterweb
through the efforts of Wikipedia france.
Some are seeing this step as the alarming tone for the Britanica encyclopedia whose cost $50 is far more than this Wikipedia cd.But Britanica's content is seems to
have a winning edge over that of Wikipedia 0.5.
